Every Sat and Sun during term time / Every day in the Wakefield school holidays, 11am - 4pm, FREE

This spring, come and play in The Hepworth Wakefield Garden. Stack, build, experiment, draw and imagine with your family in the open air. Be inspired by the garden’s artworks and plants, the weather and buildings around you. No need to book, just turn up and play.

Family Workshop: Bright Light Sculptures

Sun 3 March, drop-in 11am - 3.45pm (closed for lunch 1 - 1.30pm). FREE with an exhibition ticket.

Enjoy this multi-sensory creative workshop for children of all ages. Play with patterns, texture, layers and colours on light boxes and projections, add to large drawings or make your own light catcher to take home. Suitable for families with children aged 2 - 12 years old.

Play with materials to explore the hollows and holes of Barbara Hepworth's sculptures. Visit the galleries with your family to discover Hepworth’s sculptures then in the learning studios squish, twist, roll and carve colourful modelling materials to make your own mini sculpture.
