Earth Day at The Hepworth Wakefield

Sat 20 April, 10am - 5pm (Entry to the Eco Festival is FREE)

Celebrate Earth Day at The Hepworth Wakefield and visit Just Transition Wakefield‘s Eco Festival.

Come and find out about the many green organisations active in our district, and how you can join or support them to make where we live a truly sustainable place. You will be able to talk, listen and ask questions about nature conservation, about how organisations are cutting their emissions, and how you can get help to cut your emissions too.

The Eco Festival will feature stalls from Just Transition Wakefield, RSPB, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Groundwork (including an Eco Doctor service), Wakefield Council Greening Up, Council Climate Change Team, Wakefield Cycle Forum, Wakefield Ramblers, Grow Wakefield, Wakefield Cathedral Eco Team, Renewi and West Yorkshire Eco-Educators.

As part of a year-long Festival of Green IdeasJust Transition Wakefield is initiating and sustaining conversations about nature, about reducing our emissions to slow climate change, and about communities becoming resilient in the face of the changing climate – a growing culture of sustainability.
