Welcome to The Hepworth Wakefield tour programme

First-time visitors

If you’re a first-time visitor, join our free highlight tours at 11.15am on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tours last 30 minutes and involve an introduction to the permanent collection including works by Barbara Hepworth.

If you are interested in a group visit or private introduction to the gallery and/or garden at a different time, please see our guided tour offer below and choose what appeals to you.

Groups and regular visitors

Explore our temporary exhibitions, which change approx. every six months, and rediscover familiar art from a new perspective. Choose from a range of guided tour topics that cover art and social history.

Self-guided groups

Pre-booked self-guided groups pay admission ticket prices, while the group leader gets a free entry. Self-directed visits are free for under 18s and those living in the Wakefield District.

If you are interested in bringing a self-guided group please email us at groups@hepworthwakefield.org

Schools, colleges and universities

We welcome schools, colleges and universities to the gallery to learn in a creative and inspiring environment through teacher-led visits or artist-led workshops.

To book your visit please complete our schools and colleges enquiry form or contact the learning team on learning@hepworthwakefield.org or 01924 247398.
