Joins us for a FREE tour where we look at the lives of three unparalleled ceramicists: Axel Salto, Edmund de Waal and Elisabeth Fritsch. The tour was organised in collaboration by a Hepworth Wakefield tour guide and a pottery professional. The duo will bring you along a journey of personal stories, artistic developments and insights into techniques and processes used in making the vast display of ceramics shown at The Hepworth Wakefield.

Request a tour
If you wish to visit The Hepworth Wakefield as part of a group we can enhance your time with us by arranging a tour with our guides at a time of your choice.

Please give us at least 7 days’ notice to ensure that we have time to prepare your tour.
Self-guided groups
Pre-booked self-guided groups are eligible to reduced price admission with the option to pay by invoice or on the day of your visit. Your group leader visits for free and self-guided visits are also free for under 18s, accompanying carers, and those living in the Wakefield District.

Schools, colleges and universities
We welcome schools, colleges and universities to the gallery to learn in a creative and inspiring environment through teacher-led visits or artist-led workshops.

Access
We welcome everyone to The Hepworth Wakefield. The building is fully accessible to wheelchair users, scooters and pushchairs, and has ramp access to all areas. We have induction loops in specific places around the building and wheelchairs to book on request. Please email hello@hepworthwakefield.org for more information.
