We are delighted to welcome renowned expert in foraging and botanicals Alysia Vasey – The Yorkshire Forager – to The Hepworth Wakefield. Vasey will share her vast knowledge of the history of plants, their medicinal and culinary properties and the hidden secrets of Yorkshire’s edible landscape.
Join us in our Auditorium to hear Vasey’s unique story, which charts a family journey from foraging as a vital way of sourcing food in Nazi occupied Poland to the comforts and challenges of a country life in Yorkshire.
Vasey has made frequent television appearances on BBC’s The James Martin Saturday Morning Show, Countryfile and Ainsley Harriott’s Good Mood Food, and is soon to start a regular feature on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch, as well as appearing at culinary and nature events UK wide. She will invite audience questions and comments throughout the event.
