This October half-term explore Barbara Hepworth’s graphic works in the galleries, then create a colourful print together with your family.
In the Gallery
Join workshop artist Rachel Craddock to explore Hepworth’s prints in our exhibition Barbara Hepworth: Art & Life. Investigate and record the colours, textures, and shapes Hepworth uses to tell stories of ground-breaking discoveries in science and technology.
In the Learning Studios
In the studios tell your own story in print. Create a colourful Hepworth-inspired concertina book as a family using collagraph and cut-out techniques.
There are six family tickets available for each time slot. A family ticket is for up to 6 people. Children must be accompanied at all times. We ask that bookings with only one adult attend with no more than 3 children. This is to ensure that children are suitably supported during the workshop.
Please arrive at the Learning Studios five minutes before the start of your booked workshop. Please keep a safe distance between family groups while queuing. A member of the Learning Team will greet you and check your ticket or booking confirmation on your smartphone.
If you can not make the workshop please cancel your booking so that other families can join the session, even if it is a few hours before.
We will hold places for 10 minutes after the start time but will then invite any waiting families to join after that time.
As part of this workshop you will visit one or two of the gallery spaces. If you wish to visit the full exhibition before or after the workshop, entry to Barbara Hepworth: Art & Life is £12 / £10 / FREE for Wakefield residents, Members and under 16s.
