Teacher CPD: Exploring Printmaking in the Classroom

Thurs 30 Nov, 4 - 5.45pm, FREE

Join artist Harriet Fletcher to explore printmaking and gain practical ideas and skills that you can take back to the classroom. During the session you will have the opportunity to experiment with a range of printmaking techniques and creative processes that are easy to replicate back at school.

“There was a range of activities that are accessible and do not require much set up.” Year 6 teacher and Art Lead, St Austin’s Catholic School

Through a series of activities in our galleries you will explore ways of collecting and gathering inspiration for printmaking, with a focus on texture, form and pattern. Back in our Clore Learning Studios you will then experiment with different printmaking techniques and how you can do these within your classroom setting to create that ‘wow’ moment printmaking can have for students.

“Great ideas for progression and adapting printing throughout all key stages.” EYFS teacher and Art Lead, Pinders Primary School

There’ll also be discussion on how to build in differentiation and extension within the different techniques, as well as thinking about creative ways of displaying students’ artwork.

The session is suitable for all teachers and art educators.
