Our Year Teacher CPD - Introduction to Sculpture

For Wakefield District teachers
Join artist John Mayson for a hands-on, interactive session which explores sculpture making in the classroom using affordable materials.
This session will share the ideas and techniques based on three videos which form part of the new Wakefield Curriculum.
Teacher’s will learn techniques for making sculpture using a wide range of materials including paper, card, clay, found and natural materials.
Teachers attending will receive a free class pack of materials to take back to school and use with their class!

This session will be held at The Hepworth Wakefield.
Free parking is available – on arrival please share your car registration at the Welcome Desk.
All materials and equipment will be provided along with accompanying resources with helpful tips and key vocabulary to share with pupils.
Registration and refreshments are provided from 9.30am for a 10am start.

- Techniques for making sculpture which demonstrate progression through making.
