Discover new ways to enjoy Wakefield’s art collection, get creative in relaxed, artist-led sessions or simply join us for a chat and cup of tea.
These monthly workshops invite people living with dementia, their carers, friends and family to talk, make and imagine with us inspired by our exhibitions and art collection.
Visit the galleries to look at the art followed by a friendly discussion about what you’ve noticed and your thoughts – there are no wrong answers! In the learning studios you can enjoy light refreshments and creative making activities inspired by the artworks in the galleries.

Parking is free for those attending the session. Please give your registration number to the welcome desk when you arrive.
No need to book, just drop in.
If you wish to visit the gallery spaces before or after creative café, please purchase a ticket from the welcome desk. Entry to the galleries is FREE for Wakefield residents, members carers and under 18s.
