Concrete Objects for the Home
Sat 14 10.30am - 4pm & Sun 15 10.30am - 1pm March 2020
Join Wakefield-based artist Jessica Kendall for a weekend introduction to creating household design objects with concrete.
After visiting the galleries to look at the finishes used in Hepworth’s sculptures and the building itself, you will experiment with a selection of moulds and dyes to create a number of planters, vases, fruit bowls, door stops, coasters, candle holders or ornamental pieces for the home.
The artist will introduce the popularity and properties of concrete and how to work with it safely, from mixing to casting and finishing.
