Brush Making Workshop with Function & Form
Saturday 29 August, 10am and 1.30pm (2.5 hours each)
£75 (including materials)
Book Workshop NowWork with Sophia from Function & Form to learn how to bind plant fibres into brooms using a traditional binding technique.
The first broom you will make will be in a softer, more workable fibre which is brilliant as a crumb, dusting or table brush. The second brush will use a stiffer Broomcorn, which is brilliant as a hard floor or rug broom.
You will go home with your two brooms to use for a lifetime and a skill you can apply to other fibres and bindings. All the fibres are brilliantly water resistant so can be washed and hung up to dry.
All materials will be provided as well as a welcoming and creative atmosphere.
