Packing
2020
Film
Presented by the Contemporary Art Society through the Rapid Response Fund, 2020. Film still courtesy of the artist.

Ro Robertson’s practice spans sculpture, photography, drawing, and performance, through which they explore the boundaries of the human body and its environment.

Packing is a film which documents Robertson inserting their body into the crevices, caves and rockpools of the Cornish coast in what the artist calls a ‘performance for camera’. The work was filmed in the same rock fissure at Godrevy Point from which Between Two Bodies was cast.

This work forms part of a series called Packing comprising three works, all of which are in the Wakefield Permanent Art Collection.
