Introducing The Hepworth Wakefield house blend in collaboration with Square Mile Coffee Roasters

26 Oct 2023

The Hepworth Wakefield and London-based Square Mile Coffee Roasters are launching a new limited release coffee, exclusive to The Hepworth Wakefield café until the end of December 2023.

The Hepworth Wakefield house blend is produced using coffee sourced from the Puente Tarrazú Micromill, Costa Rica, and roasted in London by Square Mile Coffee Roasters.

The Puente Tarrazú Micromill manages coffee from six families. Founded in 2004, Beneficio Puente Tarrazú was among the very first micromills in Leon Cortes, a region in central Costa Rica. This area has now become one of the most important micro-regions for Costa Rican coffee. Though spearheaded by Rodolfo Rivera, his cousin Mainor Rivera has stepped up to co-manage the micromill in the last few years. This micromill is made up of Catuai and Caturra varieties and goes through the white honey processing method, where the fresh coffee cherries are de-pulped, but allowed to dry without washing.

A multi-award-winning coffee roasting company, Square Mile Coffee Roasters was founded in 2008 by speciality coffeepioneers, Anette Moldvaer and James Hoffmann. Synonymous with London coffee culture, Square Mile Coffee Roasters has grown to be a dynamic team of talented coffee professionals, all sharing a wealth of experience and passion for what they do. Focused on wholesale, Square Mile Coffee Roasters choose to work with, train and support like-minded businesses wishing to serve its mindfully sourced and skilfully roasted coffee to the best of their ability.
