The Hepworth Wakefield has welcomed over 2.6 million visitors since opening in May 2011 and is now established as one of the most successful public art galleries in the UK, attracting critical acclaim and audiences from around the world.
We present an ambitious programme of major exhibitions of the best international modern and contemporary art, alongside innovative displays drawn from Wakefield’s growing art collection. Central to our work is our learning programme that engages schools, families, adults and local community groups through inspiring creative learning opportunities. In 2019, we opened The Hepworth Wakefield Garden, designed by Tom Stuart-Smith, to complement our David Chipperfield-designed gallery and provide an inspiring public garden, free for all to enjoy.
We have recently been joined by neighbours Tileyard North, who have developed the 19th century mill complex opposite the gallery into a vibrant hub for the creative industries. We are now embarking upon two capital projects to complete our wider waterfront site, including returning our much-loved playground and creating a workshop and yard space for our Gardener and her team of volunteers.

Casual Events Facilitator
£12 per hour
This is a casual role with shifts offered as and when available, including weekends and evenings.
The Hepworth Wakefield’s programme of public events provides popular and accessible experiences for our visitors, attracting broad audiences across our site and includes fairs, markets, opening parties, artist talks and other ad hoc events across the year. Our commercial hire business includes weddings and other celebration events, corporate events, filming and photoshoots. We are looking for Casual Events Facilitators to support our wide range of events by providing first-class customer service and practical assistance. You will perform well under pressure and enjoy working in a busy environment carrying out a range of duties.
Casual hours are offered when shifts are available, for this role most shifts will be at weekends and on evenings.

Casual Learning Facilitator
£12 per hour
This is a casual role with shifts offered as and when available, including weekends and school holidays.
The Casual Learning Facilitators support the learning team with delivering creative activities to children and families, including Art Pods in the gallery, supporting artist workshops and supporting outreach work in the community. You will have excellent communication skills and experience of working with children, an understanding and interest in visual art, and an ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Casual hours are offered when shifts are available, for this role most shifts will be at weekends and during Wakefield school holidays.
