Talking Plants at The Hepworth Wakefield: Flowering bulbs for every season
Sat 2 Nov, 2pm
Talking Plants is a social event for people that love plants – seeded in Sheffield with roots across the North. On Sat 2 Nov Talking Plants comes to Wakefield for a special event.
With so many bulbs to choose from, how do you find the best?
Bulbs are an essential part of the gardener’s palette. Drawing on award-winning garden writer Lucy Bellamy’s conversations with over 50 of the world’s leading gardeners and garden designers, Lucy will join garden photographer Jason Ingram and The Hepworth Wakefield’s Cultural Gardener, Katy Merrington, to share their recommendations for the best bulbs to plant this season for beautiful year-round blooms.
We will be celebrating the recent publication of Lucy and Jason’s book A Year in Bloom: Flowering Bulbs for Every Season with a book signing and the added bonus afterwards, of a tour of the garden with an eye on photography from Jason.
A pop-up bulb stall, open from 10am until 5pm, will allow you to purchase and take home bulbs specially recommended from The Hepworth Wakefield Garden.
