Join us for a day of talks and book signings to coincide with the opening of our two new summer exhibitions – Ronald Moody: Sculpting Life and Igshaan Adams: Weerhoud.

Join exhibiting artist, Igshaan Adams, in-conversation with Laura Smith, Director of Collection and Exhibitions and Marie-Charlotte Carrier, Curator.

Adams will discuss his creative process, his broader career and his work with Garage Dance Ensemble as he created the new commissions for The Hepworth Wakefield. The in-conversation will be followed by a book signing.

Guest Curator Ego Ahaiwe Sowinski, artist Kedisha Coakley and Eleanor Clayton, Head of Collection and Exhibitions will discuss Ronald Moody’s unconventional pathway to becoming a sculptor, his influential career and legacy, as well as the creation of Coakley’s installation within the exhibition and shared interests with Moody.

The talk will be followed by a signing of Ronald Moody: Sculpting Life by Ego Ahaiwe Sowinski. This new biography of Moody is published by Thames & Hudson in association with The Hepworth Wakefield.
