Take part in a practical Art & Design workshop delivered in partnership with Leeds Arts University.
What is Sculpture?
Work with an artist to question ‘What is Sculpture?’ and complete a guided tour of the galleries, gain practical activities in the learning studios as well as forming your own opinions on the artworks on display. This masterclass will give you an insight into Barbara Hepworth and her influence on modern sculpture.
Develop specialist practical skills and techniques plus meet Art Ambassadors from Leeds Arts University studying Art at Higher Education.
Bring a packed lunch with you. Materials and refreshments provided.
Please note parents will need to sign a consent form with emergency contact details before leaving their child at the gallery.
10am: Arrive at the gallery
10 – 11.30am: Practical workshop workign in the gallery spaces
11.30 – 11.45am: Break
11.45am – 12.30pm: Practical workshop in the learning studios
12.20 – 1pm: Lunch
1 – 2.30pm: Practical workshop in the learning studios
