Paradox and Absurdity: Alina Szapocznikow and the Body in Crisis

Join us for a one-day conference with talks exploring Alina Szapocznikow’s place in the history of twentieth-century sculpture. The event brings together curators and academics to explore Szapocznikow’s diverse influences and contexts, including her relationship to Pop and feminist art and her traumatic experiences of war and disease.

This event is convened in partnership with Professor Griselda Pollock (University of Leeds).
