Garden Play

Every Saturday and Sunday during term time (April - October) / every day during the school holidays*, drop in 11am - 4pm

Suitable for families with children aged 0 - 12 years old.

FREE

Come and play in The Hepworth Wakefield Garden.

Stack, build, experiment, draw and imagine with your family in the open air. Be inspired by the garden’s artworks and plants, the weather and buildings around you.

No need to book, just turn up and play!

Garden Play was developed in collaboration with children and staff from The Castle Nursery, artist Steph Jefferies and architects Studio Polpo with support from the Liz and Terry Bramall.

*Please note: Garden Play is not going ahead on Monday 5 May. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

Please Note

To help everyone enjoy Garden Play, please keep the following in mind:

  • Say hello to our team when you arrive
  • Adults must supervise children at all times. Maximum of three children per adult.
  • Treat the garden and play equipment with care and kindness
  • Please tidy up before leaving
  • Participation in Garden Play is on a on a first-come, first-served basis and families may have to wait to take part at busy times.
  • Please dress appropriately for the weather. Bring a change of clothes in case your child gets messy or wet.
  • Toilets, hand washing and baby changing facilities are available inside the gallery building.
