Self-taught, Tau Lewis’s artwork is concerned with healing personal, collective, and historical traumas through sculptural and craft traditions. Lewis uses local found objects collected from her home and her travels, describing her process as ‘the transference of energy and emotion that occurs when an object is made by hand.’ Lilith is part of an ongoing series representing imagined spiritual beings.
