Creative Learning Network
In 2019 The Hepworth Wakefield established the Creative Learning Network, which brings together over 12 organisations from across Wakefield District, all of which work to support young people. The aim of the network is to connect youth providers so they can work more collaboratively, sharing best practice, techniques and resources in order to deliver the best possible support for the young people of Wakefield.
Bi-monthly sessions hosted and devised by The Hepworth Wakefield provide fully-funded continuing professional development sessions for individuals employed by organisations in the Creative Learning Network. These artist-led sessions have explored a number of key themes such as: approaches to embedding the ‘five ways to wellbeing’; youth-led activity; using art for critical thinking; and inclusion and consultation practices.
