IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISITORS: COVID-19
The Hepworth Wakefield reopened on Saturday 1 August, with carefully planned social distancing and safety measures in place. If you, or a member of your household, have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms within the past 14 days, please do not visit the gallery.
Our revised opening times are 10am to 5pm, Wednesday to Sunday. The Hepworth Wakefield will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The Hepworth Wakefield Garden is open daily, free entry.
Before your visit, please familiarise yourself with the updated visitor information on this page.
To allow social distancing, we will be limiting the number of people into the building and the different spaces. You may be asked to wait for short periods during busy times. You may wish to consider visiting at the start or end of the day, when the gallery will likely be quieter.
We will be supporting the NHS Test and Trace service by collecting visitor contact details on arrival including name, contact phone number, date of visit and arrival time. This information will only be used where necessary to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and will be destroyed after 21 days. Data will be handled in accordance with GDPR.
Our toilets, including a Changing Places facility, will be open with enhanced cleaning. Taps are touch-free and please wash hands thoroughly as per government guidelines.
The Hepworth Wakefield shop will be open. We politely ask, where possible, to please only touch items that you intend to purchase.
The Hepworth Café and Learning Studios will remain closed for the time being. You are welcome to use the café as an indoor picnic area. Lockers will not be available.
We are not currently accepting cash payments, so please be prepared to pay by card. Contactless payments are preferred where possible.
We strongly recommend booking tickets for Bill Brandt / Henry Moore before you visit. On the day, you can also purchase tickets in-person at the gallery.
Tickets for Bill Brandt / Henry Moore are valid 10am – 4.30pm on the date of your booking. There is no timed entry to the exhibition.
Our free exhibitions do not require advance booking but you may be asked to queue for a short while if we are at capacity in these gallery spaces.
For the first hour every Wednesday, 10 – 11am, we are introducing a time slot for vulnerable people to visit.

For the safety of yourself and others, face masks will be required for entry. Masks will be available on site for a small donation.
Hygiene screens have been installed at the Welcome Desk and shop counter. All visitors will be required to use the hand sanitisation station on entry to the building. Further sanitisation stations will be available throughout the building.
Please maintain a safe distance from other visitors and staff during your visit and refrain from touching surfaces. Floor markings will be in place to support this.
Staff will be on hand to ensure you receive a warm welcome and have a safe and enjoyable visit.
We look forward to welcoming you safely back to The Hepworth Wakefield.
