FREE Teacher CPD: Grand Design Conference 2

The Grand Design Conference is a specialist art conference delivered by The Hepworth Wakefield and Wakefield Learning Community.

Join us to re visit specialist art skills to be adapted in the classroom, receive curriculum updates, discover new ideas with local teachers and produce your own art work to take home.

The practical workshop will be delivered by artist Jennyanne Smith inspired by the gallery’s two major exhibitions ‘Lee Miller: Surrealism in Britain’ and ‘Viviane Sassen: Hot Mirror’. You will explore key themes in the show including surrealism in Britain and  how to respond to instructions.

This event will take place in the auditorium space, gallery and bespoke learning studios.

Refreshments included plus free parking.

1:20pm- Arrive at the gallery

1:30- 2:10pm- Welcome and curriculum update

2:10- 2:30pm- Discussion/ networking

2:30- 4:20pm- Practical Workshop

4:20- 4:30pm- Evaluation

4:30pm- Close
