Suitable for Year 11 & 13 / Level 1 & 2 Art Students
Bring your class to the gallery to study life drawing. Maximum 15 students per school.
Students will study Barbara Hepworth’s artwork in the gallery and investigate the figure and body in her artwork. After making individual observational drawings, students will study the figure and body within the contemporary exhibitions on display at The Hepworth Wakefield.
Working in the studio, students will work with a live model to develop life drawing skills and an understanding of proportion and artistic process.
Students will have a range of drawings to take away and display in their portfolios.
Materials and refreshments provided.
9.45am: Arrive at the gallery
10 – 11am: Learn in the gallery
11 – 11.45am: Live model drawing in the studio
11.45am – 12pm: Break
12 – 1pm: Continued drawing

Places will be offered on a first come first served basis.
In the event of cancellation, a notification of cancellation should be sent to the Learning Team in writing, either by post or email (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you notify us of the cancellation of your booking less than 14 days before the event (or any part thereof), including failure to turn up on the day, you will incur a charge of £10 per student cancelled.
We reserve the right to cancel any booking in the event of the gallery being unexpectedly closed, e.g. due to extreme weather conditions
