Enjoy a playful morning with your little ones and join artist Steph Jefferies to explore The Hepworth Wakefield.
Discover amazing artworks, architecture and the changing seasons through play, singing, movement, drawing and sensory activities.
In September and October we will explore artworks, weather, plants and trees in The Hepworth Wakefield Garden. Steph Jefferies will guide you through the gardens on a playful adventure, then welcome you to the Sunken Garden to experiment with materials together.
In November and December discover sculptures, prints and drawings in the galleries through creative activities, then return to the studio to play and make with your child.
Children must be accompanied at all times, a maximum of 2 children per accompanying adult.
Please dress appropriately for the weather. The session will go ahead in all but the most extreme conditions. Bring a change of clothes in case your child gets messy or wet.
On arrival, please make you way to the Welcome desk and a member of our team will direct you to the session location.
Toilets, hand washing and baby changing facilities are available inside the gallery building. If there is a queue, please inform a member of staff that you are attending the Play Time Session and they will let you straight in to use the facilities.
If you can not make the session please cancel your booking so that other families can join the session, even if it is a few hours before.
We will hold places for 10 minutes after the start time but will then invite any waiting families to join after that time.
