In response to the government’s guidance to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we have taken the decision to close The Hepworth Wakefield until further notice. This also means that all events are cancelled until the end of May, which unfortunately includes the Mother’s Day: Flower Arranging, Bubbly and Cream Tea for Two event.
Please find a statement on our closure here.
Enjoy a glass of bubbly, a hot drink and a cream tea for two and work together with your Mum to make a luxury arrangement of spring plants and flowers, presented in a vase to brighten her home. Working with florist Lizzie Simpson of In-a-Gadda-da-Vida Flowers, you will learn how to select, prepare and arrange a range of beautiful, seasonal flowers in an inspiring riverside setting.
Please note: one ticket covers two people creating one flower arrangement together, plus a glass of bubbly, cream tea and cup of tea or coffee for each person.
Dietary requirements are catered for. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your requirements after booking your ticket.
About the tutor
Lizzie Simpson creates bespoke flower arrangements for weddings, events and special occasions, as well as running seasonal workshops across Yorkshire.
In 2016/17, Lizzie created the bouquets that were on display as part of The Hepworth Wakefield’s exhibition Anthea Hamilton Reimagines Kettle’s Yard, and regularly creates displays for all of The Hepworth Wakefield’s exhibition openings and runs workshops at the gallery throughout the year.
Half of the allocated places are offered to Members at the discounted rate on a first come, first served basis. Become a Member.
A two week cancellation policy applies to all workshops. As commercial workshops support our charitable activities, and materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than two weeks before the workshop date should you wish to cancel your place.
Should The Hepworth Wakefield need to cancel a workshop, your ticket will be refunded in full.
