Mindful Makers

CANCELLED until further notice

Unfortunately due to current circumstances the April and May Mindful Makers sessions  have been cancelled. Full refunds will be given to those who have already booked.

To protect the health and wellbeing of our visitors, staff, artists and volunteers The Hepworth Wakefield closed on Wednesday 18 March until further notice. We have also cancelled all on-site learning activity and public programme events are cancelled until September.

The Learning team are currently on furlough and bookings are not being taken for any learning activity at this time.
We will continue to provide inspiring creative content online, including our new fortnightly Creative Challenge for people to get involved in from home, so please follow our social media channels. You can also find us on Google Arts & CultureYouTube and explore   hepworthwakefield.org

Join artist Jennyanne Smith for a fun morning of children’s yoga including movement, meditation and mindful art activities inspired by artwork in the galleries.

Suitable for 2 1/2  – 7 year olds.

Mindful Makers sessions are designed to motivate children to be active, build confidence, and manage the spectrum of emotions that they experience in their day‐to-day activities.

Each session includes child-friendly yoga moves (Asana); cardiovascular conditioning; meditation; breathing techniques (Pranayama) and deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra).

You will also be creative together enjoying mindfulness based making activities.

Please wear comfortable clothes for these sessions.

£7 for one child with one adult + £2 per additional child/adult.

Parking is free for families attending Mindful Makers.
