Enjoy a day out at The Hepworth Wakefield this May half-term and get creative as a family while you explore the galleries and garden.

There’s something fun happening every day from Sat 25 May – Sun 2 June during the Wakefield school holidays.

Activities in the Clore learning studios and galleries are free with an exhibition ticket.

Exhibition tickets are FREE for Members, Wakefield District residents and under 18s. Non-Wakefield families can get 50% off adult tickets when visiting with children / under 18s during the Wakefield school holidays. Use discount code: FAMILY50 when booking online or in person.

Where to eat

Our café serves food for children or bring a packed lunch to enjoy in our indoor picnic area.

Facilities

The Hepworth Wakefield is accessible, has baby changing facilities and plenty of room for buggies and pushchairs. For access information about the gallery please visit our website. Please note that the playground is currently closed for redevelopment.

Join us for a drawing feast!

Visit the galleries with your family to explore artworks in the Still Lives collection display. Play i-spy with flowers, food and objects and collect ideas for your drawings.

In the Clore learning studios take your place at the drawing table to enjoy a feast of drawing. Make your own still life inspired by your visit to the gallery.

Garden Play

Come and play in The Hepworth Wakefield Garden. Stack, build, experiment, draw and imagine with your family in the open air. Be inspired by the garden’s artworks and plants, the weather and buildings around you.

No need to book, just turn up and play!
