Family drop-in: Magic Landscapes

Sun 18 June, drop-in 11am - 4pm (closed for lunch 1 - 1.30pm)

Suitable for families with children aged 2 - 12 years old.

Join artist Steph Jefferies to explore texture and landscape in our exhibition, Magic in this Country: Hepworth, Moore and the Land.

In the galleries, use the natural objects in your activity kit to find similar textures, colours and shapes in the artworks. Back in the learning studios, make playful print stamps using natural objects, plasticine and ink pads. Build your texture prints into mini sculptures inspired by artworks in the gallery.

Younger children can join in sensory mark-making, exploring textures and patterns in the landscape.

Please note

Children must be accompanied at all times. Maximum of three children per adult please.

Entry to the drop-in-workshops are on a first-come, first-served basis and families may have to wait to take part at busy times.

Exhibition entry is £12 / £10 / FREE for Members, Wakefield district residents and under 18s. Concessions are available.
