Explore glass making techniques with Twice Fired Glass and create a series of three beautiful decorations for your Christmas tree.
After being introduced to the principles of working with glass, you will be given example designs to follow and will have the opportunity to design your own decoration, inspired by your visit to The Hepworth Wakefield.
Starting with a base piece of glass, you will add decoration with frits, stringers and confetti. You can then use Mica flakes to add festive sparkle or detail, drawings or personalisation with liquid glass.
This is a hands-on workshop and no experience is necessary.
About the tutor
Kate Park set up Twice Fired Glass in Leeds three years ago after setting up a glass department in the school at which she taught. From the studio she produces her own work and runs a regular series of workshops.

A two week cancellation policy applies to all workshops. As commercial workshops support our charitable activities, and materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than two weeks before the workshop date should you wish to cancel your place.
Should The Hepworth Wakefield need to cancel a workshop, your ticket will be refunded in full.
