Join Sue Ripley and Isobel Denton, abitmoreink, for a two-day workshop exploring eco-printmaking and dye techniques using leaves, natural dyes and bundling to create patterns on fabric, including a silk scarf to take home.
The first day will be spent experimenting with eco-printing to develop a range of samples on fabric and paper using mordants, natural dyes and a variety of leaves. You will use these samples on the second day to decide upon a design for your silk scarf, then print onto it – perfect as a gift or to wear yourself.
A wide variety of leaves will be provided and you will also have the opportunity to collect leaves from The Hepworth Wakefield Garden.
No experience is needed as you will be given step by step guidance by the artists.
