‘One of Britain’s best Christmas markets’ The Guardian

The Hepworth Wakefield’s Christmas Market has quickly established itself as one of Yorkshire’s top Christmas shopping destinations and this year takes place over two weekends.

Treat yourself and your loved ones from over 80 stalls selling textiles, ceramics, jewellery, prints, handmade cosmetics, candles, stationery, homeware and delicious artisan food and drink. The Market will featuring some of the UK’s most talented artists and designers – plus a food and drink tent selling artisan produce made in Yorkshire and an outdoor area with a range of delicious street food.

Our Christmas Market is bigger and better this year, offering a fun and festive day out for the whole family featuring a programme of festive performances and free family activities along with appearances from surprise guests.

Craft and Food Market

10am - 5pm, £1 Entry / FREE to Members and Under 16s

Our popular craft and food market returns with a high quality selection of items from independent makers based across Yorkshire and further afield. Expect jewellery, ceramics, print, plants, textiles, sweet treats, craft drinks and more.

Street Food Market

11am - 4pm - Free entry

Take time out in our cafe tent and outdoor seating with delicious street food from Toast of Harrogate, Fancy an Indian, Pie eyed, The Hop Box, Mor Mor, Wrapture, The Spicy Biker and The Extraordinary Travelling Gin Company.

The Hepworth Cafe will also be popping-up outside, serving cakes along with hot, cold and alcoholic drinks.

Performances

Food & Drink Marquee

Experience festive music and theatre from professional, community and youth acts based across the region.

Performance schedule:
Fri 23 Nov, 12.15 – 3pm –  Long Division presents Maya Kally, Jess Edwards , Del Scott Miller and Ben Robinson.
Sat 24 Nov, 11am and 1:30pm – Wakefield Community Gospel Choir
Sun 25 Nov, 1pm and 3pm –  Crofton Brass Band
Fri 30 Nov – Cathedral Academy of Performing Arts
Sat 1 Dec, 11.30am and 1.30pm – St Austin’s Choir.  3pm, Singing Mums. 
Sun 2 Dec, 10am and 1pm – Wakefield Metropolitan Brass Band

All performances are free and unticketed.
