We are excited to announce the launch of The Hepworth Wakefield Contemporary Ceramics Fair, a new event in our annual calendar bringing together work by exciting ceramic artists and potters working across the UK today.
Celebrating a wide range of ceramic processes and styles, the fair is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in contemporary and traditional ceramics, craft, homewares, interiors and jewellery to collect unique pieces, dress your home, buy gifts, research new practices or just find out more about what ceramicists do.
Plus grab a bite to eat in our Street Food Market, 11am – 4pm

The Hepworth Wakefield Contemporary Ceramics Fair takes place alongside our current exhibition Daughters of Necessity: Serena Korda and Wakefield’s Ceramics.
Performance: Hold Fast, Stand Sure, I Scream a Revolution
Sat 5 May, 4.15 - 5pm, Free
Join Serena Korda and musicians from edges ensemble and Time Machine Orchestra for a performance of Hold Fast, Stand Sure, I Scream a Revolution, an installation of 30 mushroom-like porcelain bells suspended from the ceiling.
In conversation: Serena Korda and Jenny Brownrigg

Artist Serena Korda is joined by Jenny Brownrigg (Director of Exhibitions, Glasgow School of Art) to discuss her experimental approach to ceramics and the process of selecting work from the collection for our current exhibition.
Applications for pitches at our 2018 Ceramics Fair are now open.
Apply online by midnight, Wednesday 21 February 2018. Successful applicants will be notified by Wednesday 7 March 2018.
Stallholders are selected by a panel in line with criteria including variety of the fair as a whole, quality, price range, medium and experience.
Due to the popularity of the event, we are unable to accept all applications. We regret that we are not able to give feedback on individual applications.
Please note, priority will be given to stallholders who are available for both fair days.
