Summer Fair and Christmas Fair 2019 - Call for Applications
We are delighted to announce that our popular Summer and Christmas Fairs return in 2019
The dates for this year’s Summer and Christmas Fairs are:
SUMMER FAIR: Sat 17 – Sun 18 August 2019, 10am – 4pm
CHRISTMAS FAIR: Fri 22 – Sun 24 November & Fri 29 November – Sun 1 December, 10am – 5pm
Whether you make or sell food, drinks, textiles, ceramics, jewellery, prints, handmade cosmetics or objects for the home and garden, we want to hear from you.
Our fairs present high-quality craft and food items produced and sourced by independent makers, collectives and small organisations from Yorkshire and further afield.
To apply please find details and an application form below.
The deadline for applications is midnight, Sunday 23 June 2019.
Successful applicants will be notified by the following dates:
SUMMER FAIR: Friday 28 June 2019
CHRISTMAS FAIR: Friday 5 July 2019
Applications will be considered on quality, pricing and variety to ensure we avoid duplication of stalls. Please note that, due to the popularity of our fairs, we turn down applications from high quality makers whose work we would otherwise like to support. All unsuccessful applicants will be kept on a reserve list in case of cancellations.
Successful applicants will be issued with a contract detailing our terms and conditions. Places are guaranteed on receipt of a signed and returned contract and copy of Public Liability Insurance (minimum 5 million).
Please email our fairs team with any queries relating to the application.
Pitches measure 220cm wide x 180cm deep and include a standard 183cm wide x 76cm deep trestle table and access to power. Please see application form below for pricing; all prices are inclusive of VAT.
PLEASE NOTE: We regret that, as of July, we will no longer have access to The Calder, our converted mill space. The fairs will now take place in a series of lined and decorated temporary structures located outside the gallery. For the Christmas event, these will be heated, solid-walled structures, and a stall fee discount has been applied to compensate for the inconvenience.
